A Conversation About H.R. 9721 - Fiscal Sponsorship Transparency Act of 2026 (Additional Session)

As many of you know, H.R. 9721 - Fiscal Sponsorship Transparency Act of 2026 has continued to move through Congress. On July 22nd, the House Ways and Means Committee voted to approve H.R. 9721, along with two other nonprofit-related bills - The Foreign Funding Transparency Act (H.R. 9772) and the Stopping Foreign Influence in Elections Act of 2026 (H.R. 9771) - all of which have been opposed by the National Council of Nonprofits and numerous organizations across the nonprofit sector.

Thank you to everyone who joined our conversation last week. Due to our Zoom’s participant capacity (now adjusted), we’ve heard from many of you that you were unfortunately unable to join the session. In response, we’re hosting an additional conversation to ensure everyone has the opportunity to hear the discussion, ask questions, and engage with colleagues across the field.

Together, we’ll provide an overview of H.R. 9721 and its current legislative status, discuss the bill’s potential implications for fiscal sponsors and the broader nonprofit sector, share the latest advocacy efforts underway, and answer your questions.

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation as we continue working together to advocate for the fiscal sponsorship field.
