On October 16 we held an open advocacy conversation for the community to introduce a broader political perspective on resisting the authoritarian regime that now occupies the US government. We also wanted to hear how people are thinking about advocacy for the field at this moment.

From that conversation, several follow up meetings, and a risk-focused meeting of funders and intermediaries last week, we have some proposed action steps forward for the community. We have also assembled a draft messaging toolkit, including talking points for both the positive case for fiscal sponsorship aimed at key audiences, as well as data and targeted language to counter many of the frequent attack points from the extreme right.
