Advocating for the Field - Reports from the Front Line

The impacts of the current authoritarian administration continue to be felt by the nonprofit sector and fiscal sponsors as critical infrastructure for civil society. The attacks and menacing from the administration are not just motivating defensive action, they are also changing the landscape of our field and philanthropy.

Join us for a conversation with some of our colleagues on the front lines of the battle. Lee Bodner of New Venture Fund joins us talk about the changes at Arabella. Jonathan Barona of Tides will share their vantage on shifts in the funding landscape, and Loren McArthur will share reflections on the the risk summit convened by Philanthropy Together, Ganguli & Associates and McArthur Consulting at the Ford Foundation in October.

We are working with these colleagues and others on initiatives to bolster the field. As a companion to our work on messaging, we will be releasing this month a toolkit on risk and how fiscal sponsors can spot and avoid financial and operational vulnerability. We will also share a preview of both of these tools.
